Mission Trip: A group of five women recently completed our first mission trip to South Texas where we worked with a community center called Su Casa as well as completed a major renovation on a home that had been damaged two years ago in Hurricane Dolly. To see pictures of our trip, go to the photo gallery section or check us out on the Grace Presbyterian Face Book page.

Mitten Tree: Each year we collect mittens, scarves, blankets, long underwear, and etc. for our local Rescue Mission in Pevely, MO.  The Rescue Mission serves as a distribution site for food, clothes, furniture, as well as offering assistance to the homeless and jobless.

Souper Bowl Sunday: This project began at a Presbyterian Church as a local mission project.  Before long, churches all across the nation have joined together to collect soup and crackers on Super Bowl Sunday to remind us that many people are suffering from hunger in our own country.

One Great Hour of Sharing: The Presbyterian Church USA collects a special offering at Easter time.  This offering provides money for disaster relief here and abroad.

Backpacks for Kids: Currently, there are over 500 children in Foster Care in Jefferson County.  When these children are removed from their homes, they are unable to take anything with them.  Our women’s group makes lap quilts to add to the backpacks as way to offer comfort to a child.

Birthday Party for Baby Jesus: New and gently used toys are collected at Christmas and donated to the Rescue Mission

Joy Gift Offering: The Presbyterian Church USA sponsors this offering to be collected at Christmas.  These funds provide financial assistance to retired ministers and other retired church workers who need help.

Give a Meal A Month: This is an on-going project for the Rescue Mission.  Members are asked to bring in non-perishable items to help stock the food pantry. Food bags are collected on the last Sunday of each month. A list of needed items are posted on the bulletin board at the entrance to Fellowship Hall.

Pony Bird Home: Pony Bird is a residential home for severely disabled children.  Personal hygiene items like soap, shampoo, lotion, and wash clothes are delivered to them once a year.

Other Missions Include: Fair Trade Mission—Peru, Abitibi Paper Retriever Recycling Program, Comtrea Women’s Shelter, Presbyterian Children’s Home, Blankets and Christmas gifts, St. Louis African Refugees, Centsability, International Mission—Malawi, Africa
